       Well, the verdict, unofficially, appears to be in.
After two weeks of suffering and waiting for things to get better, it seems that a nerve in my finger was severed and did not get reattached at the clinic.  So now I either let it remain unconnected with minimal sensitivity in my index finger and numbness; or I try to find some cash to have it worked on before it becomes too late.
    I am at a loss.  I really need to have a local surgeon look at it, and quit bugging my bother (the hand expert) long distance.  Now that my job is in sight, do I really want to open things up and have to take another month to heal, while I am trying to do my job?
    All of the Existentialism I studied for my Philosophy degree did not prepare me for these questions of being and existence.
